It is in the Chilean Patagonia. You can go to Torres del Paine from Santiago de Chile by plane. There are also direct flights from the lake area from the airport in Puerto Montt. The closest airports are Puerto Natales and Punta Arenas. You can also go to Torres del Paine from El Calafate, in Patagonia Argentina.
The price is USD 35 per person. You can buy the entrance ticket at any of the access gates: Laguna Amarga, Sarmiento, or Serrano (only cash). There you will have to register indicating the days you will stay and the activity you are going to do. You can also buy your ticket at the Rodoviario (bus station) in Puerto Natales (only credit or debit card). It is possible to pay with foreign currency (Dollar and Euro) between October 1st and April 30th. Between May 1st and September 30th, you can only pay with Chilean Pesos. A visitor can re-enter the park for three consecutive days without having to pay for his ticket again, as long as he goes to one of the park’s offices to get his ticket stamped before leaving.
Some shelters have Wi-Fi but we cannot guarantee its operation. The service must be paid for, on the place, and in cash. There is no phone signal. The only public telephone available in the park is at the Administrative Headquarters. It works between 8:00 and 20:00 hours in high season and until 18:00 hours in low season. It is provided to the public only in cases of emergency. Calls cannot be made to cell phones and must be paid in cash with the national currency. In all CONAF daycare centers and concessioned services, there is radio communication for emergency cases.
You can enter from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, in high season. In low season, the schedule is from 8:30 to 18:15 hours.
The water in the entire park is suitable for human consumption, as long as it is in circulation. The service areas comply with the Health Service standard, which requires that the water be treated.
