We will pick you up from your hotel to take you to Los Glaciares National Park, located 47 km from El Calafate. Your guide will show you the various walkways in front of the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier, where towering walls of ice shimmer in shades of blue and, if you are lucky, you may witness dramatic ice calving. You will start from the main balcony and then have free time to wander and admire the glacier at your own pace until the agreed meeting time with your guide. After exploring the park, you will be taken back to your hotel.

- Minitrekking on the Perito Moreno Glacier – Optional Tour
We will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning to take you to Los Glaciares National Park, located at 50 miles from El Calafate, home of the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier. At the “Bajo de las Sombras” port we will embark to reach the opposite shore of the Magallanes Peninsula, crossing the Rico Arm of Lake Argentino. Navigation time is approximately 20 minutes.
The specialized guides will lead the group along the coastline to the southern margin of the glacier and will give you crampons for the ice walk. Then, we will begin to slowly ascend the glacier, with occasional stops to take pictures while enjoying the different formations. The walk on the ice will last about 1 hour and a half.
Once we descend, we will take a path through the forest to return to the refuge.
