Welcome to Argentina! - Bueno Aires

View of plaza de mayo in buenos aires in a sunny day

  • Transfer from Ezeiza airport to your hotel

Welcome to Argentina!

Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel and have the rest of the day to enjoy at your own pace. Buenos Aires is a marvelous and furious cosmopolitan city, full of colors and different kinds of architecture.

Capital of Argentina and described as the Paris of South America, Buenos Aires proudly embraces this title, as well as showing off plenty of its own culture!

Argentines are usually eager to host visitors: if you walk the streets with a map, someone will surely stop and ask if you need directions. That’s our spirit! So, for this first day, feel free to wander the cobblestone streets lined with outdoor cafes, enjoy the mouthwatering aroma of prized Argentine beef sizzling on an open “parrilla” (barbecue), and browse the local antique and artisan markets that offer plenty of bargain shopping. To travel deeper and have a firm grip on the Argentine spirit, find the perfect leather jacket or handbag (Buenos Aires is home to some excellent local designers) and explore the colorful Palermo Soho neighborhoods.

This small and luxurious hotel has a decoration that reflects a true Argentine identity. Inviting, intimate, and with an incomparable location in Palermo Soho, Legado Mitico is a home transformed into a hotel and because of this is distinguished by its unique style.

  • Welcome to Estancia Cerro Guido

Covering a vast territory of 100.000 hectares (250.000 acres), Cerro Guido is one of the largest Estancias in Patagonia. Since its foundation 100 years ago, it has perpetuated sheep farming as its main activity and has kept the original buildings, valuable testimonies of the architectural heritage of the region, and also the traditional lifestyle that defines the very essence of Patagonia.

With the exclusivity of a vast territory, we invite you to marvel at the natural beauty and the richness of the local fauna. Also, its privileged location allows you to enjoy spectacular views of the Paine Massif and its three granite towers, the deep blue of Lake Sarmiento, the unique peaks of the Sierra Baguales, and, in the background, the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field.

Cerro Guido has designed activities within the territory of the Estancia so that you can enjoy this exceptional place. Today, upon your arrival, you will meet their team of expert guides that will help you to organize tailor-made excursions, with different levels of difficulty, such as hiking, horseback riding, overland 4×4, and cultural experiences.

What to bring: Regarding the clothes, we recommend quick-drying, synthetic fabrics and avoiding cotton and jeans: if they get wet, they keep the body cold and take a long time to dry.
Long trekking pants, rain pants, shorts, thermal layers, windproof and waterproof jacket, thin gloves and hat, scarf or buff-type collar, refillable bottle (750 ml or 1 lt), comfortable walking shoes (high boots for hiking, sneakers for horseback riding), sunscreen and sunglasses, daypack (25-30 lt), dry bags to protect your belongings.

About the excursions and activities: All of them are shared with other guests and organized with the team of guides on the day of check-in, according to the interests of the passengers. All the excursions are organized within the territory of the Estancia, except the Torres del Paine Lookout hike, French Valley trekking, and Overland Torres del Paine Full day.

Day at Leisure at Estancia Cerro Guido - Torres del Paine

Trekking in Torres del Paine - Base Torre

  • Activity to choose from the options of Estancia Cerro Guido

Today we recommend the Base las Torres Lookout trekking.

This is one of Patagonia’s classic hikes and the main attraction of the national park. Every year backpackers from all over the world put themselves to the test in this intense challenge. For those who want to spend a day in the mountains of Torres del Paine, this experience will be worth it.

We leave early from the hotel to head to Torres del Paine National Park, where we will begin our hike approaching the Macizo Paine and facing the first big climb of 2 km. That will take us within the Ascencio Valley. We continue through the valley, passing by the Chilean Camp and gradually climbing through a forest until we reach the foot of the glacier´s moraine that rises to the viewpoint of the towers. Probably the most challenging, the last hour of steep climbing and rocky terrain leads us to contemplate one of the most iconic landscapes of Patagonia. These three granite towers give Torres del Paine its name.
