Day 2

Time to Explore the City - Lima

  • Half-Day City Tour Lima and Larco Museum

We will pick you up from your hotel to learn about the two characters of Lima: the modern one, reflected in the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro; and the historic one, encapsulated in its historic center declared a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.

Along the tour through dierent districts of the city, we will see how the old and the modern coexist in buildings such as the Museum of Italian Art, Palace of Justice, Museum of Lima, Plaza San Martín, among others.

We will discover the center of Lima on foot, having the Main Square as the focal point: a beautiful colonial square worthy of photography, surrounded by emblematic buildings such as the Government Palace, the Cathedral and the Archbishop’s Palace. We will have the opportunity to enter one of the most iconic ecclesiastical spaces in Lima, the Convent of Santo Domingo, also declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity and where the relics of three Peruvian saints are found: Santa Rosa de Lima, San Martín de Porres and San Juan Macías.

The tour would not be complete without a visit to the Rafael Larco Herrera Museum, one of the most important in the country, exhibiting a valuable collection of almost 45,000 pieces of pre-Hispanic cultures, especially the Mochicas. This museum stands out for being one of the first in the world to have visitable storerooms and to provide virtual access to its entire collection. We will marvel at the quality of its pieces of jewelry, textiles and its enigmatic erotic room, dedicated to ceramics alluding to fertility.

Finally we will take you back to your hotel.

This half-day tour will allow you to delve into one of the most comprehensive museums in Latin America: the Larco Museum. This museum houses an unparalleled private collection of Treasures from Ancient Peru and will undoubtedly amaze and inspire all visitors.

Fruits of Ancient Peru (Ages 3-6)
Nowadays, in Peru, we enjoy delicious fruits that were domesticated thousands of years ago by ancient Peruvians. Which one is your favorite? Explore the Larco Museum’s storage rooms and find it! Activities – Museum storage room exploration, letter games, storytelling, and cold ceramic modeling.

The Journeys of Ai Apaec (Ages 7-12)
Discover Ai Apaec, a mythical hero of the Mochica culture, who battles various creatures from the sea and the dark world to ensure the harmony of natural cycles. Activities – Treasure hunt, object exploration, reenactment of fight scenes, and creating your own comic strip.

  • Half-Day Magic water circuit

At the scheduled time, you will be picked up from your hotel to visit the Magic Water Circuit, one of Lima’s main attractions and recognized by Guinness World Records as the largest fountain complex in the world.

During the visit, you will explore some of its most iconic attractions, including the Magic Fountain, whose water jet reaches a height of 80 meters, the Tunnel of Surprises, the Dream Maze, and the Children’s Fountain. You will also admire the ornamental fountains, sculptures, and monuments that are part of this traditional Lima park.

The experience culminates with the Fantasy Fountain show, where water, lights, music, and images come together in a presentation that showcases the essence of Peruvian culture.

Upon arrival, you will admire the breathtaking Andean landscapes and the snow-capped mountains surrounding the lagoon while enjoying a welcome snack. After a brief stretching session and an introduction to paddling techniques and safety procedures, you will receive all the necessary equipment to begin your Stand Up Paddle adventure.

Accompanied by a guide throughout the experience, you will paddle across the calm waters of Piuray Lagoon, a natural reservoir that has supplied water to the city of Cusco since the time of the Inca Empire. During the excursion, you will enjoy the peaceful surroundings and stunning scenery. Today, we will pick you up from your hotel to visit the city of Cusco, known as the Imperial City and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Your tour will begin at the iconic San Pedro Market, a local market that showcases the colors, flavors, and traditions of modern Cusco. The visit continues at the Koricancha Temple, an ancient Inca palace and center of worship dedicated to the Sun God.

Next, you will head up to the impressive Sacsayhuamán Fortress, a remarkable example of Inca military architecture. After that, we will explore the archaeological site of Q’enqo, where important Inca ceremonies once took place.

Finally, we will arrive at the Plaza de Armas, the city’s main square, to admire Cusco’s most important cathedral. At the end of the tour, we will take you back to your hotel.

Today, you will embark on a unique chocolate-making experience at the Chocomuseo in Cusco.
