- Exploring Osorno Volcano and Petrohue Falls
Today’s adventure takes you through the natural wonders of Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park, where you’ll encounter the majestic Osorno Volcano, the stunning Petrohué Falls, and the serene beauty of Todos los Santos Lake.
Morning Exploration: We’ll depart from Puerto Varas and head towards the Osorno Volcano. As we drive along the shores of Lake Llanquihue, you’ll witness magnificent views of the snow-capped Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes in the distance.
Ascent to the Summit: Arriving at the Ensenada sector, we’ll begin our ascent to the Osorno Volcano Ski and Mountain Center, situated at 1,240 meters above sea level. Here, you’ll have the chance to take in the sweeping vistas of the surrounding volcanic landscapes, including views of the Calbuco Volcano, Lake Llanquihue, and even the distant Pacific Ocean.
Optional Activities: You can choose to enjoy a coffee or sandwich at the on-site café, or take one of the lifts to the Spring Station at 1,450 meters, or the Glacier Station at 1,750 meters, where the panoramic views are truly spectacular.
Afternoon Wonders: Afterwards, we will descend to the Ensenada sector for a lunch break (not included), then proceed to the renowned Petrohué Falls. Here, you’ll experience the raw power of nature as you admire the cascading waters that have carved their way through volcanic rock formations.
Scenic Lake Visit: Our day will end at the Petrohué Port on the shores of Todos los Santos Lake. You’ll have time to explore the lush surroundings, enjoy a leisurely walk along the lake’s edge, or opt for a 30-minute boat ride on the lake (not included), where you can take in the emerald waters and views of the Osorno Volcano.
Return to Puerto Varas: Following a day filled with natural wonders, we will return to your hotel in Puerto Varas.
