Do I need a visa to travel Brazil?

It depends on your country of residence. Citizens from Australia, United States, Canada, and Japan do not require a visa to enter Brazil, and they can stay up to 90 days in the country. For other countries, make sure to visit the official website of Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, called Itamaraty.

Is it safe to travel in Brazil?

Like any big city, theft and scams are common in most places of Brazil. Just try to use your phone wisely and leave jewelry at home. To avoid credit card cloning, which can happen, try to go to ATMs that have survey cameras. For travel, coach buses are a good option (keep your luggage with you) and taxi apps like Uber. When is Carnival in Río?

Normally, it’s between the end of February and the beginning of March. It usually organizes 51 before Semana Santa (Holy Week, a Catholic commemoration) which is celebrated between March and April and the dates vary each year. Exceptionally and due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in 2021 the Carnaval in Río is scheduled for the 9 to the 12 July.

Do I need any vaccination to travel to Brazil?

Yes, the vaccines you need are hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid, yellow fever, rabies, meningitis, polio, measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis), chickenpox, shingles, pneumonia and influenza. What best time to travel to Brazil?

Brazil can be visited all year round. Just try to avoid the rainy season which is from October to March if you can. Bit if you can not, you can travel anyway. Most part of Brazil has moderate rainfalls.
