Dat ay Leisure

  • Transfer from the airport to your hotel in Bariloche – Day at leisure

Upon arrival to Bariloche, we will meet at the airport and drive you to your hotel. Then you will have the day to explore the city or the surroundings.

Bariloche sits on the southern coast of Nahuel Huapi, a glacier-water lake with enthralling islands and beaches. Hills and mountains framing the area allow visitors to enjoy all sorts of hiking trails and winter sports (Cerro Catedral is home to the biggest ski slopes in South America), as well as some mesmerizing views of the natural wonders of Patagonia. This region has it all — horseback riding through the Patagonian steppe, navigations through pristine blue-green waters, and the most mouthwatering chocolate in the country!

Say Hueque Tips

Our recommended tours for your free day in Bariloche:

  •  Visit Playa Bonita, it is on km 8 of Av. Bustillo (there are public buses leaving from downtown every twenty minutes). During summer months, on hot days, it gets full up with families and brave people who jump into the cold waters of Nahuel Huapi!
  • Take a horseback ride through a long-living cypresses and coihues forest, surrounded by mountains and glacier streams until reaching an excellent panoramic view of the outstanding Patagonian landscape. Set off along the shore of the lake to complete this beautiful two hour horseback riding experience.
Day1

Bariloche hiking tour to Llao Llao Natural Reserve

  • Discover Mount Llao-Llao and reach the most popular viewpoints

Start your first hiking adventure in Bariloche exploring the Llao-Llao Natural Reserve during a 4-hour medium-difficulty hike . We will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the reserve, where the mythical Llao-Llao Hotel still stands tall as one of the most luxurious and traditional accommodations in Bariloche, and still remains a popular hotel for many international celebrities.

The reserve is composed of a vast Patagonian Andean Forest, known in Spanish as “bosque de montaña”, and Lake Moreno and Nahuel Huapi as its natural borders. Today you’ll hike along an old hiking path through Mount Llao-Llao, Tacúl Bay, the Roman Bridge, Hidden Lake and Los Troncos Bay.

Enjoy this natural environment with a tour guide who specializes in the area, and take some amazing photos from the most beautiful viewpoints of Lake Nahuel Huapi, Lake Moreno, Blest Sound, Tristeza Sound and Lopez and Capilla Mountains. At the end of the excursion we will bring you back to your hotel in the city.

Day2

Kayak in Bariloche
Full-day visit to Nahuel Huapi National Park

  • Navigate the icy waters of the Lake District

Keep up the energy on your adventure and enjoy some kayaking in Bariloche’s famous Nahuel Huapi National Park! We will pick you up from your hotel in the morning and drive you to the National Park. On the way, enjoy the striking views of Lake Gutierrez and the Catedral Mountain Range.

Once inside the park, pass by Lake Mascardi and reach the campsite near the rapids of Manso River — time to grab your oars and plunge in! From here you’ll start a 3-hour, medium-difficulty kayak through the turquoise waters of Tronador, a beautiful branch of Lake Mascardi, with the mountains and lush forest as a fairy-tale backdrop.

After a while, you’ll stop at a secluded beach to have lunch and enjoy some relaxation time before paddling back and returning to Bariloche.
