Can I travel to Iguazú Falls?


Yes! Argentine borders  are opened for all foreign travelers. In order to avoid isolation upon arrival, passengers must present:

  • An electronic sworn statement within the 48 hours before their arrival. The form is available  here.  Travelers may be required to present the confirmation e-mail they receive from this system to board any mean of transport.
  • A COVID travel insurance.

In Argentina, presenting a negative PCR is no longer necessary.

To enter Brazil, travellers need to present the following documentation:

  • A complete vaccination schedule.  This means a printed or digital proof that they are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 with a vaccine approved by the Brazilian Health Agency (ANVISA) or by the World Health Organization (WHO) or by the authorities of the country where the passengers was vaccinated, at least 14 days prior to departure. Proof of vaccination must include the passenger’s name, number of doses received, the date when they were received, a QR code, and it must be issued in English, Portuguese, or Spanish.
  • A completed Traveler’s Health Declaration (DSV).
  • A new Argentine affidavit, different from the first used to enter Argentina.

In Argentina, the Iguazú Falls are located in Misiones province where the 75,7% of the population was vaccinated with first dosis and 64,7% are fully vaccinated.

Are both Iguazú National Parks open?


Yes, both National Parks in Brazil & Argentina are open.

In Argentina, to enter the Iguazú Falls travelers are required to present:

  • A circulation certificate
  • A complete vaccination schedule

COVID-19 Protocol at Iguazú Airport (IGR)

Passengers travelling through Argentina should present a certificate of circulation.

The use of a face mask is mandatory at all times.

It is recommended to arrive early since preventive measures may require more time to complete the protocols at the airport.

Signs on floors will indicate the minimum required separation distance.

Temperature control when entering.

Hand sanitizer will be available for all travelers.

During the flight

  • Air conditioning system with special high-efficiency filters (HEPA, High Efficiency Particulate Air Filters) that constantly renew the cabin air.
  • Only mineral water is offered upon request.
  • Reading material, blankets and pillows are temporarily suspended.
  • 100 ml of alcohol gel is the only sanitizer allowed for use on board.



When disembarking

  • The crew indicates when each seat can be unoccupied.
  • Respect the recommended distance when descending.

COVID-19 Protocol at Iguazú Bus Station

Present an International passenger motor transport service certificate & Interurban passenger motor transport service of national jurisdiction.

The use of a face mask is mandatory at all times.

Signs on floors will indicate the minimum separation distance required.

Temperature control when entering.

Hand sanitizer will be available for all travelers.

The bus should be aired out before and after the trip.

While travelling

  • For every type of vehicle and car, the occupancy is limited to 80%.
  • Once the passengers are on board, personnel designated by the transport company will inform that they must report the appearance of symptoms during the trip to the crew.
  • There should be 20 air changes per hour through the bus’s air conditioning in non-recirculation mode.
  • Blankets, pillows, magazines and headphones are suspended. The passenger, if he wishes, may provide
  • Catering service, coffee and juice machines are suspended.



When descending

  • Descending will be ordered by rows, respecting the required social distances.
  • When collecting luggage, a line must be made while maintaining the social distance of 1.5 meters.
  • In order to enter each province, the travellers must follow their requirements.
