Visit the Glaciers National Park and walk over the Perito Moreno Glacier. This a 1hr 30 min expeditions where you'll discover the white landscapes, creeks and make an especial toast on the top of the most famous glacier in Argentine Patagonia.

Day Tour

Minitrekking - Hiking on Perito Moreno Glacier

You will travel 45 miles in a bus equipped with audio guides (English, Spanish, Portuguese) from El Calafate to Puerto de las Sombras, where you’ll take a 20-minute boat ride to the south wall of Perito Moreno Glacier.

On the other shore, your guides will be waiting at the refuge to take you around the Argentine Lake to the base of the glacier, where you’ll put on your crampons (spiked hiking shoes) and listen closely to an informative talk which will instruct you on how to walk across the ice! You’ll also learn about glaciology, which is basically the study of how glaciers form and develop.

Now, go ahead and put that foot on the glacier and start this 1.5 hour long walk to discover endless white landscapes, crevices and small lagoons. Finally, make an unforgettable toast with a whisky in hand, and some Perito Moreno Glacier ice in your glass.

Heading back, you’ll take a 20-minute walk through the nearby lenga forest and then have time to explore the walkways in front of the glacier.
