1. Bahia Bustamante

Referred to as the “Argentine answer to the Galapagos” by the New York Times, Bahia Bustamante is an ideal location to explore the Atlantic coast of the beautiful Patagonia region.

With a population of only 40 people, this town is know for its unique seaweed industry and is home to a vas nature reserve that houses large colonies of sea lions, penguins and marine birds.


2. Tolar Grande

Founded as remotely located railway village, visiting Tolar Grande requires some time to get there and offers few options for accomodation, but is consistently praised as one of the top attractions in the Salta region by those who make the trip.

A tiny one street community surronded by miraculous displays of contrasting colors, unique rock formations and blue pools of salt water, Tolar Grande is a geological masterpiece and a tribute to the geographical diversity of Argentina.

3. Ibera Wetlands

The Iberá marshlands are among the last natural paradises on earth. This nature reserve covers over 5000 mi² of marsh with over 60 lakes. Here, visitors can get face to face with caimans, capybaras, swamp deer, pampas deer, howler monkeys, giant otters, anacondas, greater rheas and over 350 species of birds that can be easily spotted.
