Buenos Aires Market

Buenos Aires Market, the largest outdoor market in Buenos Aires, is dedicated to bringing food from the farm to the table. Held during one weekend of every month, the principal producers of Argentine organic products meet in one location to sell their products.

This is a great event for anyone interested in organic food, but especially for those vegetarian foodies who are looking to break the mold of day-to-day grazing and try some delicious new food. Last month I tried gluten free alfajores and apple pie, which were both amazing!

So, what exactly is available at the Buenos Aires Market?

This outdoor event houses over 60 gazebos with producers that offer the following items:

Oils                             Non Alcoholic Beverages                 Grains and cereals

Spices                         Dried fruits                                     Fruits & Vegetables

Deli items                    Gourmet food items                        Flour

Mushrooms                  Infusions                                        Legumes

Dairy products               Baked goods                                 Marmalades & sweets

Pastas                         Gastronomic flowers                       Aromatic plants

Snacks                         Celiac friendly products                   Fresh breads

The Buenos Aires Market is for people of all ages. All you need is a pair of walking shoes and an appetite. And the best part is that you can munch while you shop. There are tons of stands available with organic and vegetarian food made to order. Also, if you have a little extra free time, you can take a free cooking class.

Entrance to the Buenos Aires Market is free and food is purchased with cash only. To get a glimpse of this popular market in action, check out the video below!
