Travel Tales of Argentina
The end of April to most countries means spring and, even better, the approach of summer. The warm weather is coming to town and people are reaching for sunblock instead of scarves.
In Argentina, however, the end of April is brisk autumn, inching towards the winter months. This is the time of year when hot drinks come out (except mate, which never goes away!), and we have one for you today.
So when your April showers hit, reach for this Argentina recipe that will give you the best hot chocolate: the submarino (submarine). Hardly a science formula, this Argentina recipe has only two ingredients and two steps.
You’ll want a chocolate bar of your choice, milk or dark, depending on your taste. You’ll also want a cup of milk. All you do is heat the milk, either on the stove or in the microwave and pour it in a mug.
If you want to make it extra delicious, blend the milk in a blender after it’s hot to make it frothy. Make sure the milk is quite hot! Stir in the chocolate bar until it melts completely and viola!
Embrace the culture with Argentina recipes and sip your submarino on a chilly day or in the sanctuary of your air conditioned place. Buen provecho!
